"We bought this ottoman after doing a lot of research and every reasonably-priced one we found seemed cheaply made. But this one is beautiful! We are thrilled with our purchase and our 10-month old son loves it too. We use it as a toy box, ottoman and coffee table, putting a wooden try on it when company comes over for plates or glasses.

We store our son's toys in it, and it's deep enough to hold a lot of them! The top will stay up so his fingers don't get caught or slammed while he's pulling out his toys. I love that I can just throw the scattered toys in it in 2 seconds, close the lid and the living room looks great again!

Also, as an ottoman, it's wonderful. The material is great quality and goes back into shape after resting your feet... so no permanent indents. Haven't tried sitting on it yet, but I think it would be fine. I will say that the color was darker than I'd expected. It is a very very dark brown, almost black.
