I bought two of these, so I could put them together and use as a picnic table if I wanted. Turned out great !! This is the most awesome, easy kit to assemble. Great instructions. I am gonna buy more for my family. I highly recommend this !

This item was shipped within one week and all the contents and instructions were provided. It was easy to assemble and will save a lot of room on my front porch, no matter whether it's a bench or table. We used the wood from the picnic table I've had for over 20 years, so there was no added expense. After assembling the item, we used Thompson's water stain on the wood to enhance and preserve. It's really great!!

The instructions were clear and easy to read. The bench can be made up to an 8 foot length, but we opted for a more sturdy 6 feet. We used pressure treated wood since our bench didn't need to be fancy looking. The six foot length is room enough for three to sit with relative room and comfort.

In previous reviews, I read that some folks had difficulty with the bench back rest locking when it is placed in the table top mode. Ours worked just fine, no problems, and it felt solid.

It didn't take long to build and it was a great father son project to work on. I would caution that you should carefully select your boards, as even minor curves and warps will be amplified when you assemble the bench and line up your slats. Not a show stopper if a board is a bit more curved than you thought, but a perfectionist might want that consistent spacing. Our Flip Top BenchTable will serve us well out in the wilderness.
